Winchester sub-sonic hollow point are very accurate, and very effective in my rifles for squirrels. They will regularly shoot 1/3 inch to 1/2 inch five shot groups at 50 yds on a calm day.

The two rifles I use most often are a LH CZ 452 American and a LH Kimber of Oregon model 82.

I use a LH Cooper Arms 57M in 17HM2 for longer shots when the leaves have dropped.

And I take head shots with all the rifles.

The low report from the sub-sonics also helps to keep the squirrels from getting too spooky.
