I just put an Ernie spring in a new XMP trigger (post recall) and it yields a clean and safe hunting trigger (no slamfires on hard bolt slams). My digital scale registers 2lb 14oz to 3lb 2oz. I can go lighter with the old-style triggers, usually 2-2.5lbs, but this trigger is adequate for most big game uses.
