The XMark trigger can be just fine if it is adjusted well. I have one that is a crisp, consistent 2.5 pounds, and hasn't varied for a few years now.
The XMark recall was not to fix a design problem, but rather due to too much sealant applied to the threads which might have run into the inside gumming it up.
The Walker trigger is the one with the design "problem."
