Beautiful wood for sure! But, my newer, UGLY WOOD #1 in 45-70 is a shooter and a keeper. It is more accurate than I am and if I scratch it in the field, I'm OK with it. Some of the wood in the above pictures would be hard for me to take hunting in the bush.


My 7x57 RSI gets used more than anything else. It's accounted for 2 moose and a few deer in the past 2 years.
