They have a strong drive for food and chasing small critters. Lots of people have reported much success utilizing these methods for training. This breed responds extremely poorly harsh corrections.


Well, if you go that route-and you probably should- remember this tip from the Uber Dog Trainer. The toy needs to be interactive ( meaning you have to be connected to it) in order to generate the most fun and energy expenditure. This means frisbee, tug of war, tug with a kong on a rope is my favorite reward...but the dog prefers to play with you, not just with the toy. You'll be amazed at what they'll do for a little toy time.
