Booger. Brutus. Rip. Zip. Ted. Cowboy. Davey. Ace.

The three town dogs in Ethel, MO, where my wife and I lived the first three years of our marriage were "Git-Down", "Shut-up", and "Dammit". The Santa Fe mainline between Chicago and Kansas City comes through the middle of town and the trains run up to 90 mph, averaging around 75 mph. As they got older, Shut-up and Dammit got killed by trains. Git-Down was a smart ol' cuss and he took up with some of the wife's cousins, south of the tracks, and lived to a very ripe old age.

Bring enough gun and know how to use it.

Know that it is not the knowing, nor the talking, nor the reading man, but the doing man, that at last will be found the happiest man. - Thomas Brooks (1608-1680)
