Don't know if this will help, but I have a 99 that I BELIEVE
to be an 'R' serial no. 343xxx. It only has an 8 (eight)
stamped on the same place and side as your top pic.
I can't swear that it is an 'R' cause the wood was Bubba'ed. I'm going to get a letter just out of curiousity
