If you are talking about the Kimber ProCarry HD in .38 Super I had one...would not function at all. A friend wanted it to work on it and he could not make it work either.

He ended up sending it back to Kimber and they found that the interior machining of the slide was not to spec so the slide was not able to cycle all the was to the rear of the stroke and as a result not picking up the round properly. I can not remember if they sent it back with a new slide or a whole new gun.

The one thing I didn't like about the gun was the balance. With the bull barrel it seemed muzzle heavy compared to a Colt Combat Commander.

I have a Kimber Stainless Target II GM size gun and it is the one I recommend people buy who are looking to get into .38 Super...about perfect right out of the box...so I am no Kimber basher...
