Google "Mercury Browser". Press "get". Wait for it to load. Then Open. Click the settings button (looks like three lines), block popups, turn ad blocker on

It's funny, but just as I was reading your post a problem occurred while loading the page. I'm running Safari and Yosemite, on a MacBook Air.
Just FYI, and because I think it's useful for you to know this, I'm one of those who are experiencing these problems on the Campfire pretty much constantly now.
This is the only site - I haven't been to all the sites on the internet, admittedly - but this is the only site that I've been to on the internet, where this is happening to my computer.
It's annoying, and it results in my spending a little less time here, but as of right now I'm not inclined to change my browser just to deal with a quirk that I suspect you will eventually fix, by and by.
