The problem with traditional NRA smallbore silhouette with the 1/5 scale targets is that it is simply too darned hard, meaning that if an average shot can't hit about half the targets, he will likely get discouraged pretty quickly. 50 percent is just my SWAG estimate, but it just seems to me that being able to hit half the targets is a pretty good point to grab the shooter's interest.

From at I've seen in about 15 years shooting smallbore and Hp silhoutte I'd say few new to the sport with all rules applied hit 1/4 of the targets . I'm still waiting on my first 40 crazy
