Is that 500 dollars US or Canadian?
I think the other posts are right...if you like Ruger actions use them.
But the custom work I have had done in the past....just having a riflesmith put on a barrel was about 300 to 350 dollars.
That was after I picked up an action and a good stock that I liked...then I added a $300 scope.
