Have been following this on another board that is more shotgun oriented. Seems there were over 8000 produced before production ceased. That is based on one poster saying his brother had a serial number in the 1600s and his was in the 8000s. both of those were going strong with no problem. Seems the only posters are the ones that had problems. My replacement is in the 7000s and is working out well.
