Well, don't forget your resale value with the Ram will be in the crapper compared to other makes. This is the only reason I didn't buy a Ram; when I researched the resale value it was a good 10-15% behind GMC and Ford.
Certainly not the case with diesels. I sold my '03 to a fellow Campfire member in January of last year with 297k miles on it for $17k. Truck was in outstanding shape, though.
