That was not the standard way and I don't think we have any proof that Savage would supply the barrel in that form.
No matter how many photos you have on file you never have the right one. Will someone please post a photo of the factory 410 screw attachment?
I think your modified barrel is one of the few none factory changes that is accepted by most as being a better idea than the original.
