I picked up a 30-06 FN mauser with a vintage Weaver K4 on it. It has honest miles on it and the bore is bright and shiny. The guy I bought it from (who had never shot it) said it has a fast twist barrel from looking, I have not tested it for twist. It does have a million twists in there on looking. Stock has the usual crack thru the wrist but intact. I am planning to shoot it soon and let that be the test, if it shoots after all these years it will stay as it (after fixing the stock). Trigger made in Finland, receiver in Belgium. I am thinking this is a commercial mauser action put together by someone. Any way to determine thru the proof marks who made it... I paid $225 for it.
