I've taken the last couple of years off from fishing Kings due to their low numbers up here in SC AK. Decided to take a buddy out yesterday and see if I could get one for the grill. It took about 20 min for us to limit out. Should have played catch and release for a bit but I didn't want to roll the dice on dinner. This river doesn't get many big fish that commit to it past the mouth but these two small bucks will give us a few good meals.

Low water

I will add that there was so much fat and oil in my fish that it looked like I was grilling a ribeye. Flames were rolling. Grilled it up for dinner, lunch today, and leftovers for salmon chowder tonight. Life is gooood!
