I've caught over 100 moles with these traps on golf courses, campuses and commercial properties.

I used my 45-70 for several years but now use a 1962 Ruger Carbine 44 magnum I picked up. I find fresh digging and sit in a lawn chair with a cigar and wait. I am always at war with nature around here and try to make sport of it.

CLB: My wife owned a beauty shop for 25+ years and she had many dozens of people repeatedly come to her and ask for bags of "swept up" human hair! These folks all opined that human hair was the only thing that would kill the moles in their yards! And this occurred in the mole capital of the world (Puget Sound country). Apparently the human hair is placed in the fresh tunnels of the moles and the sharp ends (freshly cut?) hair would enter their soft skins and some how kill them - I don't know but again my wife had many folks who asked for hair for this purpose? Best of luck to you. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Best I ever saw was my dog I had when I was a kid. Just a mixed breed mutt but she was death on moles. You could see her sitting a listening for them digging and she had figured out that she needed to dig behind them to. Cut off their tunnel. They didn't stand a chance. I have also u we'd the poison peanuts but not a good idea if there are poets or children around. Don't you just love the creative results from talk to text in "smart" phones?[color:#FF0000][/color]

Besides, I was hoping some poets would show up.

The only difference was the quary was a gopher that was trap smart, no cigar, and a Remington 4s rolling block 22 long. It took him a few hours, but dad 1 gopher 0.

We always used powdered sulfer and a torch, block off all but one hole really well and burn some sulfer in the open hole. My FIL uses a old jeep with a flex tube on the exhaust and gives it a bit of choke.

I understand the premise, no food, no mole, but... Who the hell said anything about $700? A bag of Grubex is usually under $20. But if you'd rather have the moles, knock yourself out.
