Clear, clear water means early and late, or deep during the day. Walleyes mean Shiners and green jigs - fish a bit deeper than you might in a usual lake. Start 18'-20', and don't hesitate to go lots deeper - like 40' - if you see fish on bottom. Lots of structure in the 20'-40' range, and fish sometimes bunch up on those underwater humps. I like Trout Lake, but Hay also. Main part of Whitefish itself too but boat traffic can be a gigantic distraction. Very busy much of the time, weekends really busy!!
Great bass lake just aboout anywhere, btw. Rubber worms and tubes on the deep weedlines can be fun - just keep moving along that deep weedline as you cast up and work into deeper water.
