Just got back from the killing fields in northern AZ. About ran ourselves out of ammo. It was 3 days of dog killing fun. The numbers are still on their side.

We haven't started shooting prairie dogs seriously, yet!! Still shooting gophers.. We shoot a for 2-4 hours each morning.. Our numbers are down, but we have been getting some good shooting each morning..
This CZ has been my main .22 for gophers this spring.. Some of the areas a .22 is easier than a center fire..

This morning, I switched to a 10-22 Ruger I bought a couple years ago, but have shot very little.. With Rem. LHP, it was a real gopher getter.. Got one old one first thing.. The little semi proved very accurate this AM.

This morning after shooting with the rimfires, I set up on a good vantage point with my mobile bench rest.

I used the .222 with 50 grain Zombies from Hornaday.. A deadly combo, but I prefer the 40 gr.

I nailed a big fat long tailed rat between the shoulder blades this morning. He went into a break dance into heavy brush and I did not recover the body. I need to find 22 hollow points that are this quiet.

Good job Wyo.. Nice rifles. I love those 50 gr 'Maxes.... I need to try some of the Z's, they're a dang good deal. Dad and I have been shooting some 40 gr BT's lately out of his .222's, they're like little laser beams.
