For sale are up to 6 mature buck antelope landowner tags for my family’s ranch in Unit 56 of New Mexico. I’d prefer to sell the tags to a group of good hunters but will entertain singles and pairs too. One tag per hunter by law and each tag is $1800. The $1800 does not include NM license and habitat fees, ect, that the state collects. This is an unguided hunt but I will be there to orient and advise hunters. Guided 1x1 hunts in the area are $3600.
This year has been wet so far. Horn growth and trophy potential is excellent.
Our doe tags will not be sold, so there will be no doe hunters to get in the way of the buck hunters. The ranch is 100% private land so there are no state draw hunters hunting either.
Antelope season for Unit 56 opens Saturday August 29th and the season is 3 days of hunting. The hunt will be August 29-31 unless you have a group of hunters who buy 4 or more of the tags and the group can find a later date when all parties can meet. (I’d still recommend hunting the opening weekend as that’s the best hunting.)
Hunters may camp in or our large barn that has running water and a full bath in it. Hunters usually set up cots in the barn and sleep with the doors open. Days are usually mild but can be warm. Nights are pleasant.
Hunters are expected to know and follow the NM hunting regulations.
Please follow an “I’ll take it” immediately with contact info in a private message. Payment is expected to be received quickly thereafter. If you fail to do so, I’ll have no choice but to re-list the tags quickly - the end of August will be here soon. Thank you.

Here's the goat I shot on this place back in 2012. Ted has a really nice setup there and a chance at a great trophy. I had no idea what I was looking at, so shot the first decent one I saw. I have a couple more pictures of bucks that were shot out there the same trip I was on, but I don't want to post them on a public forum as I don't have the permission of the guys who shot them, but I could PM them if anyone wanted.

Where in the state is Unit 56 located? I-25 borders the western part of the unit and then the road from Raton to Clayton is the northern boundary and the road from Clayton to Springer is the southern boundary. Great country for hunting antelope

Northeast, about halfway between Clayton and Raton.

And it would be a hell of a year to go. Its as green down there right now as I've ever seen it in April, May and June. Normally the monsoon season doesn't hit until early to mid July

The deal fell through so the tags are still for sale.

4 tags are spoken for and I've granted that fellow 24 hours to claim the other 2 as well since he's spoken for the majority of the tags.
I'll post again if he declines the last 2.

donsm70 NR Antelope is $292. I think the habitat fees are about $40 but I'm not sure.
