I have decided for my use the bulk copper coated bullets are best for my target load.. I have some Berry's bullets they are ok, do you have any suggestions for other makers of copper coated bullets?? I have some HSM in 357 they are fine.. But they do not make .44's..

In my 44, Rainier makes a pretty good bullet for plinking and punching paper.

I am thinking he is looking for cheap plated plinking bullet. I can't help as I shoot cast.

Wyo,
Check out X-Treme plated, they seem to be a cut above Berrys & Ranier to me. Also check out Rocky Mountain Reloading, they often have pulled bullets quite cheap which should work fine for practice.

I use the Xtreme 158 gr RNFP for range in my 357. Works well for me. Can't help with the 44.

Berry's bullets have been good in my guns but I switched to cast in 38/357/44.

Thanks again for the other sources.. Will check out the Xtreme and Rocky Mt Reloading.. Shot some Rainier this am.. Ok.. I think the Berry's might be a touch more accurate, but haven't shot my pistols for a couple weeks.

I mostly shoot hard cast for hunting in my .44's, but the all copper Barnes "Buster" in 300gr is devastating on hogs! For just "fun" shooting, I like the .44 Special with lead SWC bullets for economy.

They make jacketed and copper coated bullets for handguns? Seriously. What will they think of next. Cast only for my revolvers.

Yeah, my wife's S&W 66 and 637 both have factory J word loads in them, and my Glock 22 runs on jacketed or copper plated. Cast for anything that goes out hunting or hiking the back country.

XTP then XTP, and finally XTP's. My 66 no dash shoots Berry's RN 158's at .38 velocity into little tiny groups if I'm having a good day
