The car outside the shop is a 1950 Ford. That was from MY era. Dave, I am very proud of what you have done for whatever that is worth.

It's been quite a week for me. I work a couple of days a week in a gun/pawn shop. The owner was on vacation this week and it was me and the other part-timer to run the place all week. Ever since I retired in 2002 I am not accustomed to full time work any more. Nor do I care for it. Just a couple of days a week is fine with me. I would never make it working with or for Dave. Add to that my wife developed shingles on her left leg and I have been taking care of her as well as I can. Shingles on the rear upper leg hinders a LOT of movement and makes sleeping positions an iffy thing. I really feel for her. It is VERY painful and irritating. I have not had a chance in two weeks to shoot the new .300 Blackout rifle. It has proven QUITE satisfactory so far. Dave, I have been keeping up with the Mustang thread. Really good so far. Fourth of July upcoming. I hope everyone has great /safe/fun plans.

Just got back from a tour of SD,MT,ID, and ND. What a trip. It was a beautiful week camping in the grand Teton national park and yellowstone. Weather was perfect!
I put 2700 miles on the ram, and didn't want to leave MT!

He is still missed. Though I didn't know him, I do know some of his family and it's because of this thread. I will have a beer for him tonight, I'll til my hat in his direction and give him a nod. He'll know why.

I'll get some up here at some point. I will say I have 100's and 100's of pictures.
I did see every major animal they have to offer except moose.
In the campground in YNP, there was a grouse drumming, literally all night and day. Well, I finally found him and got within 2' of him. I could have grabbed him with my hand and wrung his neck.
It was an amazing trip and I didn't want to leave MT, but I could easily live in the Black Hills.

Thanks, mule1. I decided to get a prescription for the shot. After seeing her discomfort I have no wish to endure such. I did manage to get to the gun club today and continued my education with various bullet weights in the H&R in .300 Blackout.I love that little rifle.I plan to deer hunt with it this fall.

I've been hearing a lot about the .300 blackout lately. My step bro is having one built, which surprised me since he's not a "gun guy" really at all.

I was shooting my 300BO Ruger American today. For the woods I hunt, it will be a handy little (quiet) rifle.

Quiet you say? That could expand the woods I hunt! I put in for my SD deer tags. West River and Black Hills. This is the 4th year so my fingers are crossed! Actually, I just got a preference point for BH region but I'm excited none the less!

The 150 grain bullets did ok in the .300 BO but I want to mainly use them in the 30-30. A subsonic 222 grain HP does really well as did the Sierra #2000 150 grain soft point.
