Picked up a 1950 SC with a unmolested receiver top. I have looked at a few but they were always drilled for mounts and were drilled off center. Finally found one not drilled and also in 35 Remington which I really like. Those are getting so hard to find in that condition here in the South.

I have the exact same rifle ... same year, model and chambering with no D&T either. Mine came with a Redfield coin-slot peep sight on it. Sweet find. Congrats.

Very sharp. I've got a 1960 .30/30, it's pretty sharp, too, but factory D&Ted.
Wish mine was a .35, but I got it at a good price, and ammo is cheap and easy to find. I've decided not to load for it.
You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Nice JohnnyPA! I have a 1948 in 30-30 that looks just about identical. No D&T and I love the Williams receiver sight!!
