Wanting to know if there is one powder out there that is used more than others , performs better , and the most popular , for use with a 300 gr. bullet . I am just working on a new Win. 70 purchase . And would like to limit my powder purchases . Any load info would be a great help . Thanks

RL-15 gets a lot of mention.

In the two .375s I load for, WW-760 gives the best performance (accuracy at top velocity) with 300 gr Partitions, A-Frames, and Hornady solids. Almost as good is Norma 204/Re-19.
In my hands, Re-15 burns too fast for the 300 gr bullets....accuracy is acceptable, but velocity falls a bit short. That said, Re-15 really shines when you drop down to 235-270 gr bullets.
I was hoarding when hoarding wasn't cool.

Kudu1,
If you plan to use your .375 for a wide variety of hunting then you might consider a more temperature-resistant powder than most mentioned so far. I've used my .375's at temperatures from below zero in North America to close to 100 in Africa, and for that purpose H4350 is hard to beat with 300-grain bullets, though even old IMR4350 also works pretty darn well in that specific application. In my Mark X Mauser IMR4350 with 300-grain bullets only varies about 40 fps from hot to very cold weather.

I've used a variety of powders in the H&H. It is one of the easiest cartridges to load for IME. I always come back to RL15.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor

While not an Extreme powder, IIRC, RL-15 wasn't that bad regarding temp sensitivity, at least the latest version.
For those of us who don't hunt in extremely cold climates, that's probably less critical than for those who do.

Alliant's Reloader 15 is THE powder for 375 H&H.
