There has "only" been 15 human deaths since 1924. But still, would you do it? Have you done it? If I was back in my late teens I may entertain the thought. I was pretty stupid back then.

To me, thats about like launching a mortar off of your grape.
There is no way to coexist no matter how many bumper stickers there are on Subaru bumpers!

Been there and saw enough torn shirts and bloody people to not want to ever do that . At the time I could have easily outrun anyone on that course, the problem is running into a drunk, falling and then getting bent over by 1200 lbs of Bull.

Presently, I'm not sure how much time I have left. I see no reason to expedite my exit, as I have a ton of money saved up.

Been there, done that.
Between undergrad and grad school, I was younger by 30 or so years but not in better shape than I am now. After night of drinking sangria and sleeping in the park since we did not have money for a hotel or even a reservation.
Trick is you don't have to out run the bull (which you won't be able to do), or even the guy next to you as the joke would go. As long as the street is straight the bulls do not give a f*ck about you, I petted one as he past me.
Where people get gored is at the turns because the bull comes up to a fence or building at full gallop and did not expect it, gets confuse and swings his head around in confusion or anger (I didn't ask the bull which it was). Also, the streets are cobblestone and the bulls often fall down at the turns, which kind of pisses them off. So at the turn, cut to the inside and stay away from the bull.
Good luck and don't miss out on the sangria!

It had always been my dream to go to Pamplona on my fortieth birthday and run with the bulls before I got too old.
Didn't make it.
So my next dream was to spend my fiftieth birthday in New Orleans for Mardi Gras.
Didn't make that one either.
When I turn sixty in a couple of years, I think I will just plan on staying home.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.

My BIL who is a big Hemingway groupie, goes every year. They have a Condo that overlooks the whole INSANE event and just enjoy the parties.
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

Buddy went, got robbed in the mob/party, followed the strategy about not getting bunched up, pics in two papers of him running, tells about it ten years later. Lacrosse players would (I guess.)

Many probably won't buy it, but I'd do it. Danger's my middle name. My other middle name is 'idiot', but that's beside the point.

You know the one. In "The Sun Also Rises". I always use that book for a reference when someone says I drink too much. I usually hand them a copy and say, "Here read this!!! I'm a rank amateur compared to these sots!!!"
Founder Ancient Order of the 1895 Winchester
"Come, shall we go and kill us venison? And yet it irks me the poor dappled fools, Being native burghers of this desert city, Should in their own confines with forked heads Have their round haunches gored."
