This weekend I happened to stop at the Cabelas in Dundee Michigan twice. They had a variety of .22 LR ammo for sale. They had Remington, Winchester, and a couple different types of CCI. Prices were under 5 bucks per 50; not what they were a couple years ago but not scalper prices like seen at gun shows the past couple years. They had even more ammo out on the shelf when I stopped out again later in the day. They had a '1200' quantity per customer rule in effect. An employee told me they are get good supplies of .22 ammo in three days a week now.
A bought a couple boxes of each variety so I can do some testing through the various .22's I'm currently setting up.
'Tis nice to have some selection again! Hopefully this is a sign that the supply is catching up with the demand and we can count on .22 ammo being readily available again.

I stopped by Cabelas in Denver and they were also fully stocked with 22LR. I saw a few people pick up a box but there was no frenzy. I grabbed a box of 500 for $28.00.

I was at a match in Pierre, SD and stopped in the DakotaMart store. They had bricks of Norma Tac for $60. Also had some Remington and Winchester ammo.

Stumbled by Cabelas today based on 24CF chatter. Not a round to be had, the militia must have heard.... CCI BR primers, lots of those at 60 bucks a thou. No pooder for sale.

Was in a Wal Mart last week and bought a 333 pack of Federal LR for 18 bucks and change. First 22LR I have seen for sale at reasonable prices in well over a year, maybe two. Salesman ask if I wanted more, but don't really need it, and thought maybe some one that did would be next.

The local Cabela's in LaVista, NE, has more and more .22 LR ammo every time that I'm in there. They now have a 1,200 round per day limit, which seems pretty liberal to me. The best value looked to me like the Federal HV Match at $5 per box of 50.

I was on a trip and stopped in a Walmart in IL. for a few things, that had lots of 22 ammo, but would not sell you any unless your state touched IL. Being from TN that left me high and dry.

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Bottom line is ammo is becoming more available. I'm getting emails every week selling handgun ammo by the case and the prices are coming down. Various gun powders are coming back available. Now .22 ammo is on the shelf. Perhaps the artificial shortage brought on by panic and hoarding is over. Supply has caught up with demand.
It's either that or those secret ships the U.N. had out in the ocean filled with all the ammo have come back to port and unloaded.

Even our little Cabelas Outpost had a stack of CCI standards, MiniMags, and Win Power Points(which I cleaned out) The same twelve hundred round limit as everywhere else.
Such a neat sight to behold.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.

Glad you got those Power Points. Last of those I saw was in 2009.
