The 20-60 zoom should be here on Tuesday. Originally I sold a 60mm fieldscope ed with the 15-45 eyepiece for a couple of reasons: 1.I just could not get comfortable with that eyepiece and 2. I thought I wanted something angled. I found such a great deal on this 664 that I just couldn't pass it up. A couple of questions:

1. I have read many reviews and know that this scope is generally highly regarded. Those with first hand experience, what are the negative aspects of it or the te-9z eyepiece
2. I know this is a matter of opinion but what do you guys think, angled or straight. If you like am angled scope is it worth sacrificing glass for the advantages of the layout? I ask this because likely I would not be able to trade for equal glass in an altered due to limited resources. A 601 is probably what I would end up with.

I suppose it could be up for trade for an angled scope once I get some time behind it but right now I am very impressed with the quality and solid overall feel.

Thanks,
Nick

Never mind, I got the eyepiece on and made some quick observations. I will not be parting with the scope, angled or not I will not be in the position or mindset to buy a scope that will top the view in my lifetime. I don't have a lot of experience with fine optics but even compared to the highly regarded Nikon ediii, as it pertains to value, the view is truly amazing.

You will not be disappointed, I have 2 of them and wouldn't trade either for a Big 3 spotter.

In my opinion 2 other spotters that are incredible are the Nikon EDG and the Meopta.
