I don't know that DONALD needs to run third party...just threaten to run third party...let the games begin...

Donald Trump says the chances that he will launch a third-party White House run will “absolutely” increase if the Republican National Committee is unfair to him during the 2016 primary season.
“The RNC has not been supportive. They were always supportive when I was a contributor. I was their fair-haired boy,” the business mogul told The Hill in a 40-minute interview from his Manhattan office at Trump Tower on Wednesday. “The RNC has been, I think, very foolish.”
Pressed on whether he would run as a third-party candidate if he fails to clinch the GOP nomination, Trump said that “so many people want me to, if I don’t win.”

Yeah, but if the RNC would shut there fuggin mouth. And be like every other citizen that is entitled to one vote. Then get behind the candidate that the people pick. Instead of the caniving, manipulating, POS that they are. That have cramed candidates down the people's throats for years. There wouldn't be this worry. RNC needs to be beat over the head with a “creditable” third-party threat.

"IF" he could successfully pull off a 3rd party win, it could be the catalyst that changes American politics forever. Many of us believe 80-90% in one of the two parties, but if it were to include more choices......could be interesting.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

We were burned by two George Bush administrations, and then blindsided by two failed attempts involving McCain and Romney. Both of those were unelectable, because the CONSERVATIVES balked, and would not vote. If Trump does run third party, I bet the turn out for his candidacy will astound folks, and the GOP will see it's lowest voter approval in history.

The RNC owns the Republican party. They choose the candidates and the people who identify as conservatives are just supposed to shut their traps, keep their opinions to themselves, and vote for whoever the party sticks in front of them.
Even when it's McCain and Romney.
Right now, the people of the Republican party are favoring Trump across the board.
The proper response from the RNC would be to support the candidate that the people support.
But that's not how it works.
The RNC will attempt to manipulate the people's opinions in an attempt to direct them towards the candidate that the RNC wants.
That's why Americans end up with so many Democratic administrations.
It's the RNC's fault. Not the voters.

If Trump decides to run 3rd party, it's his business. I wouldn't mind seeing people running 4th, 5th, and even 6th party, also.
Either that or just completely do away with political parties and have individuals run on their own merit and personal ideology.
The reason this country is so fugged up is because we're only given a choice between crooked ass party "A" and crooked ass party "B".
,..and the leadership of crooked ass party "A" and crooked ass party "B" go golfing together on Sundays.

Best thing that could happen is Bernie Sanders running as a third party candidate. He's a socialist running in the Democratic primary system but if he is competitive and Hillary and the DNC alienate him he could run as a third party candidate easily. It would be fascinating to see Trump and Sanders running as independent candidates.

Read the rest of the story at The Hill. I would guess Trump thinks anyone he can't control or buy is unfair to him. This has likely been his end game all along, with the promise of government largess to follow. Trump's always been a player and I have little doubt the American people are just being played.

I said early on that Trump's vanity would not let him quit if he failed to get the Republican nomination.
He talks big and says things that are good to hear, but he loves himself more than he loves the country.
I see him as a dangerous enemy that will give the Democrats time to finish off what's left of the country.

Possible, but not likely. I hope you are right. Believe me, I'd love to see a game-changer. Maybe Trump can bludgeon the parties into cooperation, but more likely they will join forces with each other and torpedo him at every turn.

People were given a chance to vote for a non-politician with a credible chance of winning. a man who was speaking the truth. If the people who threw their votes away on Bush had voted for Perot, Bill Clinton would likely have ended up in an Arkansas jail, and Hillary along with him. But comparing Trump to Ross Perot is a huge insult to the latter. Perot was the last chance we had to take our country back. and idiots can only vilify him for trying.
