TIA,
Jordan Jordan, I have one of the early Mdl 7's with a 18 1/2" bbl. I was able to adjust the factory trigger to 2 1/2# with a very crisp letoff. HC

Both of my factory triggers are very nice. I have a j-lock action that broke crisp at 2.5" as it came to me and I took the older .223 I just received from six pounds down to 2 pounds even by cleaning all the crap out of it and setting it properly. There are plenty of DIY instructions out there, it isn't rocket science as long as it will pass the drop test. If yours won't clean up, I would go with Timney. The adjustment procedure is pretty much the same for factory and aftermarket triggers.

Sadly, there are too many directions on the internet for adjusting Remington triggers and some are only stupid, a lot of them are dangerous. This is the simplest and best I have found. http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/RemingtonTriggers.asp
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.
