I read this book by Linda Greenlaw and loved it. The "bar snacks" were absolutely hilarious. My favorite was #8 on the top ten lies that fisherman tell. It goes "If I ever get home from this trip, I'll never go offshore again. I am going to get a real job.." I certainly was thinking that this july as a CG Helo was circling over The Pimp and I.
It is a very interesting read with great stories of the ocean and fishing. I also recommend "the hungry ocean" by Linda Greenlaw.
