Found a 24V with a broken trigger guard and see that the original trigger guards are non existent. Numrich offers after market trigger guards that fit several different Savage firearms, but I see the reviews on amazon arent great. Do any of you have any experience with these? Regards, Jericho.

Last one I had to replace I bent a strip of sheet metal and filed a slot in it for the release lever. It wasn't anything fancy, the gun was an old beater the guy just wanted a guard for. But with some time and patience you could taper the ends and make something pretty nice without much invested.

I have bought Savage 24 trigger guards on eBay to replace broken "pot metal" units. The universal fit unit from GPC is functional, but unattractive and not what I want on a gun with any condition.
