Got up early and got in line at the DOW office. Managed to obtain one of the 49 remaining cow tags for area 36 1st season.

Nice. I cow hunt every year and really enjoy it.
Does Colorado only offer those in person at DOW offices?

Not sure but I think any vendors, like sporting good stores sell as well. On line sales start at midnight tonight. I say a sign posted about phone sales as well

We are supposed to be able to call in today and purchase them. It hasn't worked for me yet.

I scored on a left over tag a couple of years. Tried a lot .. >> A LOT << you know many, many times on phone for about 4 hours, finally got through. Just keep trying.
Good Luck,

I called for about 25 minutes straight, every few seconds, and got through. Then waited 35 minutes to talk to someone.

My cousin was on hold for an hour & 1/2 then forgot his hunters safety card and had to hold another hour - he did get his tag after all that.

Well you can buy left over limited tags online now no need to wait on the phone. I got a unit 13 3rd rifle season cow tag.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

By the time I got through there was nothing available that interested me much. That might give me a little more time for Kansas roosters or ND and NM waterfowl.

Idaho had a problem with left overs being grabbed by the vendors for their buddies so the public never got a chance at them. They solved it with a 2d chance drawing so everyone has an equal chance. If they still have some left after that, it's 1st come, 1st served.
