I imagine the shipping company would have some surcharge for that width!

Mine was a classic kudu story...spotted a bachelor band of 3 bulls, including the wide one. Put the high octane ninja-sneak on them, got there, and there were only two bulls.....

I think most of you guys have seen this, but it's my favorite trophy, and I'm almost afraid to admit, it was a relatively easy hunt. Spotted him whilst driving a dry river bed, he ran off and we tracked him for all of five minutes. He stood broadside at 125 yards and the 375 did the rest. 58 3/4" very tight curls.

Greater Kudu, taken in Namibia. He was running with a smaller bull- both appeared at the edge of heavy brush, offering a quick shot. Longer of the two horns is 58". Rifle is my .300 Wby Mk. V.

I'm pretty proud of this one. And it's not mine. Youngest daughter shot this one last June. Both horns a hair over 60". Lucky kid who shoots well. I should add she shot it with my .375. Didn't bother her a bit. Tough kid who is not intimidated by much and I'm incredibly proud of her.

My one and only Kudu. We tracked him for hours earlier but he gave us the slip. By chance spotted we him that evening and stalked for less than a mile. He was very distinctive due to the one bent horn and the guides had seen him a couple years earlier, but nobody had seen him again until I showed up.

My oldest boy 6 years ago took this bull at a little over 300 yards. Rabies outbreak the year before our safari had done a number on the Kudu population in this part of Namibia. Bull measured right at 50" if memory serves correctly. A few years ago my youngest boy stalk his Cape Kudu all day in the mountains of Tarkastad South Africa. Finally got a shot at last light. Just a touch over 51" for this bull.

Heres my one and only. Gorgeous bull from South Africa. One of my better shots too. 353 yards, no turrets, slight right to left breeze... drilled his heart. The PH and landowner were quite impressed, as was I!

Really nice bulls everyone. Kudu, Sable and Eland are my favorite plainsgame animals to hunt. This is my best from Zim in '01. 56" Mike

This thread is freakin' awesome!! I remember seeing this prior to my Zim hunt this past August, and thinking, "yeah, they're nice, but meh..." because kudu just didn't impress me until I actually saw them in the wild and hunted them. Now, post-hunt, I've gone back and looked at these pics and I'm lovin' it! I totally hear you on that! My kudu was a gift... we had spotted and stalked kudu every day for 3 days running without a chance of a shot, then this old fellow presented himself at the side of the road just prior to sunset. I'm not smiling in this pic because it was the most bizarre and improbable kill I've ever made. It was only after my PH and I got back to camp and talked the events over until they made sense that I was able to start smiling, and I'm smiling now as I type this. A memorable hunt for an incredible animal, wonderful memories.
