Glad I never invested....still manage to do allright without it.....

I have heard that they don't work for a few years now, mainly from web sites like this one. I dust myself with a odor killer or baking soda. Wash my clothes in non brightening/odorless detergent. Simple, cheap, and somewhat effective. With the money I have saved I can afford pills guaranteed to enlarge a certain organ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />. I don't think anything can come close to the old hunting axiom- Hunt Into the Wind.

I use a puff bottle frequently. It was a couple of bucks and I refill it with talc once every few years. I've gotten shots at 18 yards while smelling like a goat a couple of times. The wind is the only thing that will allow you to get in like that.

I wash my cloths with baking soda only (use well water). I also shower with baking soda before I go out. I hang my hunting clothes outside. Put leaves in them too.

I don't use the new fangled scent trapping clothes.

I had 2 dear come right near my tree stand yesterday AM. They lowered themsleves down to the ground and had a nice late morning nap. They were too small for me to lift my bow at, but i sure enjoyed watching them and yes I liked knowing I wasn't dedected even though i don't use all that HIGH TECH hunting accessories or the gear. The wind was blowing in my favor more or less.

I am using a laundry detergent called gen7. it is all natural, vegitable oil based if I am not mistaken, and has no fragarence or brightners added. it appears to work well. I have heard the the AC suits will saturate with odor and become less effective. never tried one.

No amount of carbon, silver byproducts or any other "odor eliminator" will keep your breath, anus, feet, shoes, lube from your bow, bow strings, favorite hunting hat, favorite face mask, treated leather from your boots (all leather has to be chemically treated to make it last), gloves or armpits from stinking. Some might work for a short time (baking soda), but your breath and anus never stop stinking (especially the air from your nose, so the stupid gums don't work). I chuckle at people that actually think they can throw on some clothes that have been in their odor filled house, or pickup and go hunting being scent free. A hunter simply WON"T and CAN"T fool an animals nose. If hound dogs, deer, bears and elk can smell 1 part of odor per million, do you really think a carbon suit is going to make your scent invisible? Anywho, I am glad someone finally published a non-biased article on the ripoff scent elimination crap on the market. I laugh at all the "bubbas" on the Mens Channel that say they got "X" big buck due to their Scent Lok Suit. They have made billions off of naive consumers and it is sad. I am off my soap box.
