After picking up a 7600 270 carbine I fell in love with it now want to get my 7600 308 with 22 inch barrel cut down and re crowned to 18 maybe even 16-5 inches have any of you guys did this how how was accuracy plus price ?

A friend of mine did on a 7400, .243 to 18".
It is slightly more accurate than before.
Of course, it depends on how good a job the smith does on the re-crown.
