Just what it says. Was $500 when I got the lifetime membership more than 20 years ago.

Depends on your age. If you're in your late '70s it looks a lot different than if you're in your late '20s early '30s. Got mine for the $500 the poster above mentioned about the time I turned 40. Now the money I used to spend on membership dues, plus more, goes to fund their political action.

I'm older now but I'm still runnin' against the wind

I bought mine back in the 90s and made quarterly payments but don't remember the total.

The $300 a few years ago was a special deal to fight Obama's attempt to gut the 2nd.

The NRA runs a $500 deal where existing life members can sponsor a new member for life. That's the best deal going right now.

I sponsored my first grandson for $300 and my second for $500.

300 bucks for lifetime is a good deal for most folks.

Years from now the $500 will look like a very good investment to you. It goes for a good cause.

I paid $100 in 1975. CBS was running a scurrilous documentary claiming that all hunting was evil. As a "typical" example, they showed a wounded deer on some preserve bleating in terror as some "typical" hunter grabbed it by the antler and pumped repeated pistol shots into it.

Outraged, I asked my wife, "Where is the checkbook?' I wrote out a check for $100 and mailed it to "NRA, Washington, DC" because I did not have their address. I asked to become a Life Member and told them to tell me if the fee was higher.

Actually it was $125 then but they never asked me for the difference.

Ever since, they have spent their money sending me their magazine for free. Since then I have contributed to NRA-ILA when we were threatened. I have since become a Patron Member and then a Benefactor Member. I bought life memberships for my wife and two sons during the recent $300 deal.

The NRA isn't perfect. But it is they who do the heavy lifting. It was the NRA who first slapped the Obamunists upside the head when the Obamunists decided use Sandy Hook as an excuse for gun control.

If the NRA says, "Jump," there are many politicians who reply, "How high, Sir?" And that's a good thing for decency, freedom, and America.

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

Democrats would burn this country to the ground, if they could rule over the ashes.
