I want to get a nice hunting jacket and bibs this year. I will only be hunting out of a treestand. I would like something warm and not very bulky. I hunt in South Carolina so the lowest temp in the season would be in the 20's.
Thanks!!

I have used Browning Hydro-fleece/Goretex with complete satisfaction, I hunt KY and IN and the temps a similar to your area.

Under Armor or Browning would be my choice today.
Camp is where you make it.

For layers I wear an Under Armor base with a thermal henley. If it is cold I'll add a fleece vest.

I like the 4 in 1 Parka's sold by Cabela's, Browning and others. They give you the option of just the waterproof shell in warm weather, or just the insulated liner in mild weather or the two combined in the 20 deg. weather you mention. You can also shed it in the layers as the day warms up.
I have found nothing better.
Now for pants I use wool.

The Browning stuff has really nice features. My son picked up a parka for me on clearance some years back. Lots of pockets, shellholders for rifle and shotshells, key loops, waterproof and very warm. It's not the 4-in-one, but for $50, I can't complain. I save it for sitting on very cold days. It is a bit bulky and like most waterproof stuff, a little noisy compared to wool, even with the soft nap.
What fresh Hell is this?
