I started this thread a while back and all you guys said absolutely not..... well I tried it today and it loves it. I'm using 42.5 grains of IMR 4227 and a Barnes 250gr ballistic tip in a high pressure sabot. Last two shots today was cutting holes. Will post more information next weekend. Hope this helps everyone that is curious as I was. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=v00ycHwHWMI

That load is probably 1900fps at best. 46gr of 4227 gets a 300gr bullet to just over 2000fps in a Savage. Your video says a 300gr bullet...So which is it...250 or 300gr?
So shoot a few hundred shots and get back to us on how well the breach plug and cases are holding up. Since you are sure try some manly loads like 60gr of N120 or 43gr of N110 and a 300gr bullet.
Geez, i can beat that 4227 load with Blackhorn easily.

Not positive on fps plan on taking the chrony next week. I was consistently shooting 250gr bullets but yes I did try a few 300gr. Bullets to change pressure and see how it reacted. And inspect for stress. And yes I know I'm shooting a baby load but at least I'm doing some research and not setting on a computer being a keyboard warrior lol. I started this thread for people that was curious about the new rem as I have been. Feel free to keep your negativity to yourself as I am having fun experimenting and researching with a awesome, extremely clean and accurate front stuffer.

Some of us actually own and shoot smokeless MLs built from the ground up as smokeless builds. What you are doing is foolish but every village has an..... So your inspection included magnaflux and what else? Or did you just eye ball it? When you want to do it the right way, there is a company replacing the barrels on the new Rems with a true smokeless grade Krieger barrel and a breach plug made for smokeless. http://www.hankinscustomrifles.com/index.html

Shot the Remington 700 ultimate again today. About 12 times today using 42 grains of IMR 4227, and a 250gr barnes bullet in high pressure sabot. Actually remembered the chrony today, with the above load she is pushing 2, 086 fps. And cutting bullet holes at 100 yards.
