I am not convinced he is even the best qb on his team.

I would put RGIII in the top 30 of NFL quarterbacks

In other NFL news it seems the San Diego Chargers want to relocate somewhere north. If it was up to me teams would be forced to stay put.

I'm a die hard Skins fan and I wish they would just get to the play-offs. RG3 was pretty good the first year until he got hurt. I saw his statement on the news last night and thought he was in dream land. At least he's confident.
The year the Skins took him, they almost had Luck, but Indy took him. So they had to choose between RG3 and Russell Wilson. In pure Dan Snider fashion, he goes for the big name. Once again, all he gets is a big name. I've viewed him as another dud, but a dud with potential. As far as the statement of being the best QB in the NFL goes, I think he needs a lot of work.

I'm a life long Skins fan and former season ticket holder. I have two boys, 12 and 15 who are Dolphins and Ravens fans respectively. I can't say I blame them as the team has been totally dysfunctional their entire lives. I do have some hope that the new GM may finally have things headed in the right direction. However, they need to play RGIII one way or another this year so we can make a decision and move forward either with or without him next year.

Hotload, I grew up in Maryland but I've never followed professional, or even college sports. Just not my thing. But the skins were always at least the home team so here's my opinion on your question to Stonecutter: I'd go find a great college QB and move heaven and earth to get him. To heck with RGIII and any others already in the system.
If someone wants to change the name, they can buy the team and change it to anything they like. Otherwise, screw 'em!

I'd take RGIII over Jamison Winston any old day of the week and twice on Sunday!

The problem isn't so much what a bust he's been but what they had to give up to get that bust.
With those picks they could have rebuilt that line AND still gotten Wilson.

1983? Draft. KC Chefs got the seventh pick.
Elway went to Denver already.
Coulda picked Jim Kelly.
Coulda picked Dan Marino.
Coulda picked Tony Eason.
Picked Todd Blackledge.
Top that.

Wilson went MUCH later. Wasn't a choice. Carroll got lucky.
