Do you need a 4457 Customs form to travel from the US to Canada to hunt with a rifle and return? Thanks.

I know you must have a Canadian form filled out but not signed to cross into Canada from the US. You will sign the form in front of a customs agent. I do not remember the form number. The form & $25 Canadian will get the rifles into Canada.

The 4457 just tells U. S. Customs that all of the gear that you bring back is what you took with you and is not new gear being imported. The countries that you visit while outside the U.S. will require you to provide a list of firearms and firearms-related gear on their own forms to ensure that what you are taking in is legal under their laws and regulations.

You may never need to present it to customs, but I for certain would have it with me!
