Your Borden sounds like a nice build. I'm pretty happy with the Kahles, for my eyes it give up nothing to Swarovski or Zeiss and in fact maybe a little better as far as resolution edge to edge but I'm an old man so don't trust my eyes.
In the end I'm the only one that has to be happy with it. This 3-9 is right at 13 oz. I also own a 3-9 Kahles CL. It is an awesome scope and very light. It currently is on my NULA 260. Reticle is a little finer than my other scopes. May ultimately end up on a 22lr sporter.

Pretty much perfect, if you like the Remington platform. What's not to like?

Pretty much perfect, if you like the Remington platform. What's not to like? There has to be a reason that most custom actions are clones of the Remington acton. Know it is straightforward to manufacture but it would not be copied so much without having great design merit. If I could afford to hunt something big, I might consider a Winchester or Mauser action. Unfortunately will probably never happen and i will stick to Remington clones.

I found that it likes 139 Hornady flat base bullets and IMR 7828 at 3150. 3 shots at 300 yds, about 1 3/8" Might get to try them on antelope in a few weeks. Now to test some 162's.

Nice rig. It seems to like those vintage Hdys as well.
