The latest edition of "Gun Tests" rates .380 semiautos.
One of which is the North American Arms Guardian .380 Auto which retails for $359.

Gun Tests rated it as "buy it" but felt it wasn't as reliable with jhp's ammo as it should be and recommended that it be carried only with solids.

Does anyone have experience with this firearm and how it does with jhp ammo?

According to several customers who have purchased & tested the .380: No problem with reliablility. BUT... they find the .32 to be more accurate. PorkyPooh

PorkyPooh,

Have you seen anything of the NAA Guardian in the new .32 CorBon caliber? It's supposed to be a .380 necked down to .32 caliber. Ballistics indicate it is a hotty for a small caliber.

No, Norm, I haven't. But, tomorrow, when I'm back at the store, I will do some askin' around. It's a good question... Worth some investigation. PP

PorkyPooh,

I found the article. It was in the November 2002 issue of Combat Handguns. 60 grain bullet 1200 fps 2.5" barrel muzzle energy calculates to 192 ft lbs.

I'd like to have one setup like the one in CH.

Used to subscribe to CH... don't anymore. But, I will look into the the little jewel tomorrow. It may be an "in the future" production model. I'll let you know what I learn. PP
