It was just the opposite here this year.
Late cold weather and I am afraid it may have caused a dieoff.
Of course the whole summer has been weird!
August temps have been comfortable . . .
That does not happen
Some spelling errors can be corrected by a vowel movement.

Ours are almost exclusively Annas hummingbirds. And they stay all winter. When it's freezing overnight, I take in the feeders. The little beggers are waiting in the predawn for me to hang their "breakfast" out. Enjoy the photo.
