The school gym in Kotz was full and it was standing room only. The gym holds just over 1300 in a town of about 3,000. I guess that is about a "dozen" for your town.

The government actually killed off quite a few of them when they relocated them off of a Pribalof Islands during WW II to "protect" them. http://www.nps.gov/aleu/learn/historyculture/unangan-internment.htmThey also took their kids away and sent them to boarding school and teachers beat them for speaking their native tongue. Plenty of injustice was inflicted upon Native Alaskans from the time of the purchase from Russia until fairly recently.
