Thought I'd try the McMillan Compact BDL stock on my Mickey Coleman-Built 257AI tonight. The stock is inlet for a Bart #3. The Coleman is supposed to have a Rock 5r contoured to be the same as a Lilja #2. But the Bart #3 stock fits pretty good and balances right at the front action screw.

I've shot this rifle maybe 80 rounds. The new stock makes me want to try it again.

Nice. What colors are the stock? Looks like red and orange 50/50?

1. Nice, very nice, rifle.

2. After expanding the heck out of the pic, I see that's a 3.5-10x40. Right?

3. What height are the Talley LW's?

4. Rem 700 LA? Looks like a SA.

I'll be scoping my Ram 700 LA before too long and that's the scope I want with the B&C reticle and I like the look and height of the Talley's.

Good looking rifle.

Alan, Talley lows are perfect for that scope / LA rifle combo.

Purple and orange, I believe. I was going for the flame effect and that's what I got. It's on Fire!!

Yes. That's a VX-III 3.5-10x40 in Talley lows.

Short action. If the throat is right, a SA is all one needs.

I just fell out of love with the AI and built several that I was shooting instead. It was accurate as ai recall. Never chrono'd a load, but I want to when I get it back out in the field.

It's a favorite cartridge of mine PM me if you'd like some good load- & -data.

Like the rifle! Some day I'll build one lighter than my LR 98 Mauser/Laminate/Heavy Sporter like yours...

Looking forward to some kill shots this fall!
