Son shot his first black bear shot at 700 yards with 180 Scenar last weekend hunting with me. Impact velocity with 180 scenar was 2042 fps at that elevation. Bullet retains 111 grains of weight and looks like a partition. Recovered with nose poking out of opposite side. Bear was shot on near side shoulder and came to rest behind opposite shoulder. Made a 30 yard downhill dash and found dead. More results later if the deer and elk cooperate for him again.

G1 BC is .661, G7 is .332 for the 180 Secnar
G1 BC is .633 , G7 is 307 for the 162 AMAX
Is the extra weight worth it?

Hornady states the G1 at .625 and according to my rifle the 180 is shooting at a .673, but regardless, with the results I'm seeing out of the 180's, no one will be able to convince me to switch...

I shot a sub 2" group with these at 600 the other day from my LRM, running 2998 MV. I cant wait to use these on coues deer this year, I am just a little worried if our 100# deer will make the bullet open up or not. But, that bullet looks AMAZING!

I'm running them @ 68-gr H1000, but I've got some pressure signs (flat primers, and slight extractor marks). I should back off a half a grain or so and see if accuracy is consistent.

We're at 67 grains with either WLR or CCI mag primers. Felt like it was max I wanted to push it.

Wow, that bullet doesn't look like what I would expect from a recovered Scenar. Seems like most of them go kaboom after entering. Nice job.
I am going to find some 150's to try.

I'm 3/3 on them not going kaboom so far. FWIW
