What target do you use/like for:
1) Zeroing
2) Establishing your ranges (200, 250, 300, 350, etc.) 1"ish stickers. Milk jugs, paper plates, or steel. Travis

Targets that resemble this one... That's actually 3 shots, not 2. I also prefer these. Me too!

TheBigSky: For load testing and sight in verification of my centerfires I use the standard Bench Rest Associations 100 yard targets. For me it seems no matter what power or reticle of scope I am shooting there is a place (a corner of a square, the center of the circle or the center of the wide perimeter black square etc) where I can draw "a fine bead". Under certain lighting conditions I will add a small stick on blaze orange dot inside the center circle - under gray or dark skies this small bright orange circle provides the best aim point I have found to date. For an occasional treat, I'll pick up generic 2 liter soda bottles to use as long range targets. These seriously EXPLODE on impact. Very cool to settle back on target during bullet flight to see two liters of grape soda explode.

For load work-up I use 2x3' pieces of cardboard covered with a sheet of old(white) building blueprints and a 6" round sticky target. Depending on the conditions I can generally see bullet impacts at 400 yards.
As soon as I have a good shooting combo figured out it's steel plates and a can of white paint.
I left a couple of my bigger plates hidden out in a pasture all summer and recently went to retrieve them. Couldn't find them and thought some little fuuckers snuck in and stole 'em.
Uber pissed until I went back and re-looked. Hid them a little better than I thought!
