Jeff,

There was some sign. I'm most excited about die with fawn tracks. We haven't seen that much at all the last few years. We found some huge buck tracks in a clear cut landing. If i didn't know better, you'd think they were a calf moose...they weren't!

We have a couple spots picked out for me and the kids to sit. The trail cams were hit and miss. One had nothing on it, one had a doe, a doe with fawn, and a then a nubbie on it.

I can't believe how wet everything was though. One spot that I've never seen water, had water up to my knees, right over the top of my muck boots

I got a nice fat doe,and last years buck fawn walking past my archery stand pretty regular.

Congrats on the archery elk!! That is my dream hunt!
Unfortunately I can't compliment you on the pic because this site is so hit and miss lately all I see is a box with an X in it on most pictures. Not all mind you...but most. Grrrr

went out scouting for elk tonight, saw lots of deer, no elks though. tomorrow one might meet his maker if I find him!

WAY too early for deer rut out here, the elks just started getting vocal, way late for them too
