My next rifle is going to be an Isaac Haines style Lancaster flint lock in .40 caliber. It has been on my wish list for years and I have finally started collecting the parts.
My barrel was delivered last week. It is a Rice, A weight, 38 inch swamped, 1-48 twist, with round bottom groves. It weighs 4 pounds, 3 ounces. I have a Chambers Deluxe Siler lock and a very nice figured piece of maple. I intend to use this one for target matches and the occasional small furry critter. It will take a while to come together, but should be worth the wait.

That do sound nice PDS! I'd settle for a Schimmel. Dirt azz poor rifle. Mebbe I'll throw one together when I get my shop done.

I have an 'all parts are there' .36 project rifle that has a southern mountain / Tennessee Bean flair to it that is waiting for me to work on it. It was fired about 6 times... What started as a vent liner install became a need for it to be re-breeched. Have all the old and new parts, just haven't had the time.
In fact, I have been thinking about parting it out or selling it off as a project rifle and putting that toward something else...
If it has whipped cream and chocolate drizzles on it, it’s dessert. Grow up and get a coffee damnit
