Miracle whip is not mayo...it's molecularly similar to arsenic. As for mayo I've never tried dukes but will keep my eyes open in my travels. I like hellemans/best foods

Belongs on white stuff you mean like grits? Yep. The metro-sexuals will be along shortly to rave about Hellman's or Miracle Whip. But there is only one true mayo.
Dukes. Miracle Whip is not Mayo: http://www.realsimple.com/food-recipes/shopping-storing/food/miracle-whip-mayonnaiseNever could understand why folks liked it. The problem with various mayo's is not who likes them, but what people will put it on. It DOES NOT belong on red meat sandwiches, or ham and egg sammiches either. Mayo is white, it goes on white stuff, like trukey and tuna. And spiced up with some good balsamic vinegar and some fresh cracked pepper it goes good on artichokes too. I figure if some folks on this 'fire thingy can tell other folks how to hunts up their grouses, I can tell you (y'all? all y'all?) folkses how to make a sammich! And Miracle Whip is still not MAYO, it says so right on the label. Least ways it always used to. Don't have the stuff around my house ever. Go ahead, flame on. You folks enjoy your food however YOU like it. Just don't serve me a bolagna sammich with butter on it like a friend's mom did back in grade school. I think every sandwhich that woman ever made had butter on the bread. Geno PS, my wife agrees with me on one thing. Miracle Whip is NOT mayo! PPS, someday I hope to try that Duke's stuff and maybe the Blue Plate. Available only down south? Grits and Mayo? I didn't grow up with grits, our family came from NYC. I have acquired a taste for grits though. Would like to get down south sometime for shrimp and cheese grits. But Mayo on grits? Besides, some grits is yeller, no? Mayo wouldn't fit with my color "scheme" Geno

byc hit it on the head. Dukes is at it's best in potato salad. Also, down here it is the clear favorite when having fresh sliced tomatoes along with a meal. Dukes mayo and fresh ground black pepper will make a 'mater squeal.

John Tomatoes are best eaten right in the garden, picked warm and ripe, no condiments necessary, and even better eaten directly in front of their cousins/brothers/sisters/and "awntees" still on the vine. That really will make the 'maters squeel, specially the ones next in line! Geno PS, "squeel" like "wheel" or "squeal" like "weal" (yes that's a real word, obsolete maybe but real... or is it reel?) My speller is all cornfused now! PPS, one thing's for sure, either john843 is right or I am.

I agree that Miracle Whip ain't Mayo, it is better. Some things need Miracle Whip and some mustard, and some need both, particularly a ham sandwich. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

Miracle Whip is the margarine of sandwich spreads.
I don't allow it in my house. It is the Devil's mayo.

The only use for Mayo is to put horseradish in it so it is good. Typically it's just heartburn in a jar.
But, it appears I might have to find some Dukes and give it a try. My wife is stuck on Miracle whip which may explain why I can't stand it.

Geno Exactly. People don't realize that the FDAs charter mission was to declare miracle whip unconstitutional and illegal but the mayonnaise lobby got involved. The rest is history.

Yeah. We keep it south of the Mason Dixon line as retribution for the War of Northern Aggression. Actually we prevent it from coming north 'cuz we won!
